Scripture
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”— Romans 12:2 (NKJV)
Devotional Reflection
At the start of a new season, we often focus on what we want to do—goals to reach, habits to change, and plans to accomplish. God invites us to begin with a deeper question: Who am I becoming?
Transformation is not about outward behavior alone. Paul reminds us that lasting change begins with the renewing of the mind. This renewal reshapes how we think, what we value, and how we respond to life’s challenges.
Self-awareness allows us to recognize the influences shaping us—whether they come from fear, pressure, or comparison—and to realign ourselves with God’s truth. Becoming who God calls us to be is a process, one marked by grace, patience, and intentional reflection.
Self-Reflection Pause
- Who is God inviting me to become in this season?
- What thoughts or habits may need renewal?
- What influences shape my decisions most strongly?
- How can I intentionally align my mind with God’s truth?
Closing Encouragement
Becoming is not about striving or perfection. It is about remaining open to God’s transforming work. As your mind is renewed, your life will increasingly reflect His will with clarity and peace.
Prayer
Lord, renew my mind and shape my heart. Help me release what no longer aligns with Your purpose for my life. Guide my becoming with grace and truth. Amen.
